St. PETERSBURG, Jul 29 President Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the leaders of African states said that Russia appreciates their approach to finding a solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, Putin said: «I know that you are sincerely striving to provide possible assistance in achieving a just and sustainable resolution of the conflict, and we, of course, greatly appreciate your balanced approach, as well as the fact that you did not and do not support the anti-Russian rhetoric, the anti-Russian campaign.»
«If this happened, we would now have a conversation this did not take place,» he noted.
At the same time, Putin drew attention to the words of the EU chairman that African countries are against coups.
«I completely agree with this. But the second problem, which led to the current crisis, it was just a coup d'état in Ukraine in 2014, it was precisely a state anti-constitutional armed bloody coup, which Western countries actively supported,» the President of the Russian Federation said.
At the same time, according to him, the countries of the West » disregarded all norms of international law and publicly said that they supported this coup d'etat, and even said the amount they spent on it, without any hesitation.»
