MOSCOW, 3 Aug. Canadian goaltender of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club «Tractor» Zachary Fukale explained the decision to move to Russia.
The goalkeeper signed a contract with the Chelyabinsk club after the end of the previous season.
“Before you make a decision and say yes or no, you ask various questions in order to have the fullest picture of what is happening before your eyes. This applies not only to me, but to any player. I asked questions to people whom I know and whom I trust — in Russia, Canada, the USA. I pushed all the political moments aside and figured out what next step would be the best for me from a hockey point of view, «Fukale told Sport-Express.
He also noted , that before moving to Russia, he consulted with players who had previously played in the KHL.
“I spoke with a lot of different people and only then made the final decision. Hershey «discussed various issues with Alexei Protas, who played for several years in the KHL for Dynamo Minsk, and Bogdan Trineev,» he said.
