The emergency occurred on Thursday afternoon near the Sunset Shovi Hotel. The river with landslide masses washed away bridges, damaged roads, covered the cottages adjacent to the hotel. More than 200 people were evacuated by border helicopters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. More than 400 rescuers and military personnel are working at the site. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili declared August 7 a day of mourning.
