WASHINGTON Aug 9 Former US President Donald Trump claims that the judge leading his case, Tanya Chutkan, was associated with a law firm that served the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, the former employer of Hunter Biden, the son of the current American leader.
Chutkan of the federal court for the Metropolitan District of Columbia presides over Trump's attempts to change the 2020 presidential election.
The ex-president wrote on Truth Social that Chutkan «had professional ties to a law firm that worked for Ukraine-based energy company Burisma, where Hunter Biden was a proud board member.»
«This is a classic conflict of interest!» Trump said.
A number of media outlets claim that Chutkan and Hunter Biden worked together at the law firm Boies Schiller Flexner LLP.
Trump denies the charges brought against him, calling them interference in the election campaign, demands a change of judge and venue of the process.
