The increase in fuel prices at Russian gas stations is temporary phenomenon. This statement was made on Wednesday, August 9, at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
The ministry noted that motor fuel prices are market prices, therefore, they fluctuate at certain moments.
For stabilization prices, the necessary steps are being taken, in particular, a decision was made to increase the minimum share of exchange sales of motor gasoline to 13% and diesel fuel to 9.5% from autumn.
Russia in July rose in price at a higher rate than inflation was growing — prices for this type of fuel increased by 2.19% compared to June.
In Astrakhan, residents noted interruptions in the supply of fuel at 22 gas stations. The Minister of Industry, Trade and Energy of the region, Ilya Volynsky, connected this with the planned repairs at the gas processing complex of the Astrakhan region. All filling stations will be fully operational by the end of August.
