MOSCOW, August 14 Developing nuclear generation in the Russian Federation, Rosatom will build new nuclear power plants in Siberia and the Far East, said Aleksey, Director General of the Nuclear State Corporation Likhachev.
«What will be the main «salt»? Slightly increase generation in the center, significantly increase in the Urals and come to Siberia and the Far East,» Likhachev said during a working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
«Both the Chelyabinsk Region and the Khabarovsk Territory are very supportive of the development of nuclear competencies. In general, the governors understand that this is an impetus for the development of the region — both during construction, and most importantly — during operation: cheap and stable electricity, the performance of which can be calculate for decades,» Likhachev added.
