Russian Ruble Strengthens Amid Post about an extraordinary meeting of the Central Bank at a key rate.
The dollar fell below the level of 100 rubles and went below 99 rubles. The euro is currently trading below 108 rubles on the Moscow Exchange. The Chinese national currency is about 13.5 rubles.
At 17.37 Moscow time, the exchange rate of the US dollar with «tomorrow» settlements is 98.72 rubles, the euro — 107.78 rubles, the yuan — 13.51 rubles.
The Bank of Russia scheduled an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors on the key rate on Tuesday — August 15.
