An Al Jazeera journalist was hit on the head near PMC Wagner Center in St. Petersburg, she was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury

In St. Petersburg, near the PMC Wagner Center, located near the Ladoga railway station, on the night of August 25, an unknown person hit Al Jazeera Arabic channel journalist Rania Dridi on the head. It is reported by «Fontanka».

A man in jeans and a black jacket hit a 41-year-old Palestinian journalist in the right temple and ran away. Doctors diagnosed her with a concussion and a closed craniocerebral injury. The police launched a check because of the attack.

“PMC Wagner Center” is a business center that the structures bought unfinished in 2019 and opened under a new name after the start of the war in Ukraine.

After the crash on August 23 of the business jet of Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin in the Tver region, flowers and candles were brought there. One of the visitors placed among them a sledgehammer with the symbols of mercenaries — as a reference to the execution of a former prisoner recruited by Wagner PMCs.

Spontaneous memorials appeared in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don and other cities.
