Regions will receive 843 million rubles as part of the Clean Water project

MOSCOW, Aug 26 The Russian government will allocate more than 843 million rubles to the regions for the construction and reconstruction of drinking water supply facilities as part of the Clean Water project, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“The government continues to work to provide residents of the regions with high-quality drinking water as part of the Clean Water federal project. In 2023, a number of entities will receive additional funding for the construction and reconstruction of drinking water supply facilities. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The total amount of funds that will be directed to these entities will exceed 843 million rubles.
It is specified that additional subsidies will be received in 11 regions. These are Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Kalmykia, Yakutia, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, as well as the Arkhangelsk, Vladimir, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Ulyanovsk regions.

It is emphasized that federal funding will make it possible to upgrade the water supply system and help in the implementation of the Clean Water federal project. The goal of the project is to provide more than 88.8% of the population of Russia with drinking water from centralized water supply systems by 2024. The federal budget provides 46.6 billion rubles for the activities of this project in 2023, and 26.8 billion in 2024.
