The Novoanninsky District Court of Volgograd sent Alekei Khlebnikov, a former prisoner who had returned from the war, to a pre-trial detention center in the case of child rape. This is reported on the website of the court.
Although the press release of the court does not give the name of the arrested person, only the first letter of the surname, the rest of the circumstances coincide with the case of 35-year-old Khlebnikov, who was put on the wanted list in mid-August.
According to investigators, Khlebnikov committed sexualized violence against his 13-year-old niece in the forest near the Rozhnovsky farm, threatening the girl with a knife (clause “b” of part 4 of article 131 of the Criminal Code).
The Volgograd edition V1.ru claims that the man was detained in the Rozhnovsky farm, where he was hiding with relatives.
In 2018, Alexei Khlebnikov was sentenced to 11 years in a strict regime colony in a murder case acquaintance and stealing his car. Prior to that, he had already been prosecuted for theft and robbery. In the colony, he was recruited into the ranks of the Wagner PMC to participate in the war in Ukraine and, according to V1.ru, in the summer of 2023 he returned to his native farm.
