MOSCOW, Sep 2 At least seven people died, two were injured in an attack by local gunmen on a mosque in northern Nigeria, according to the local Daily Post, citing sources. .
It is noted that five people were killed directly in the building of the mosque, two more people were injured as a result of the attack. The attack took place while the believers were performing evening prayers, the source added.
The victims were taken to the hospital. State public relations spokesman Mansir Alhassan said security personnel in the surrounding areas were mobilized to catch the attackers.
