Two Armenian soldiers died as a result explosion on Saturday, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a statement by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
As specified, the death of servicemen occurred during the construction of the road, during which blasting was carried out. The incident happened around 4:30 pm Moscow time.
“Major Arman Babajanyan and soldier Artur Poghosyan were killed as a result of an explosion during engineering work (explosive work to build a road),» the agency said.
Investigations are currently underway. The Ministry of Defense of Armenia did not provide any other details.
