MOSCOW, 1 Sep. Pirated screenings of the films «Barbie» and «Oppenheimer» are unfair to the authors of these films, said Maxim Rogalsky, managing partner of the Nashe Kino film distribution company.
“I respect copyright as much as possible. Of course, I am against pirated screenings. Whoever wants, he will find, of course. But I am categorically against showing this content in cinemas not from the point of view of immorality. the creators of these films. I just think it's unfair,» he said.
According to Rogalsky, if these films are not released officially at the request of their creators or for other reasons, then they should not be released in a pirated way.
Earlier it was reported that the professional translation, voice acting and dubbing studio Red Head Sound completed work on dubbing the film «Barbie» with the participation of Russian «official voices» of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling Tatiana Shitova and Andrey Barkhudarov, the premiere was scheduled for September 9.
Director of Tatyana Shitova David Valiani confirmed her participation in the dubbing of «Barbie», while noting that «it is done purely for fans.»
The Ministry of Culture of Russia said that the department did not receive applications for the rental of «Barbie» and «Oppenheimer». According to the agency, these films do not meet the objectives of preserving and strengthening traditional values.
Moscow cinemas denied reports about the possible distribution of these two films, in particular, the press service of the Karo chain stated that pirated films are not shown in their cinemas.
