MOSCOW, September 3 LDPR Vice Speaker of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov addressed the head of the Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova with a proposal to award Mikhail Shufutinsky the title of People's Artist of Russia.

He noted that now Shufutinsky is a people's artist without a title, and this «needs to be corrected, since the authorities must hear people.»
The politician added that the artist took a «very unambiguous and respectable» position against the background of the special operation and the culture of cancellation of Russian artists in the West, saying that «now you can't be away from your homeland.»
