MOSCOW, September 5 The Ministry of Finance sees no reason to impose an additional tax on foreign companies that have left who want to return to Russia, told reporters Ivan Chebeskov, director of the financial policy department of the Ministry of Finance.
“There is no such thing as paying an additional tax upon return. They will need to buy their business back, that is, if they leave, it means that they have sold their business. If they return “, then they will need to purchase assets here at market value. They do not receive these assets for free. There is no additional tax here (there is no point in introducing – ed.). On the contrary, we welcome investors who want to come (in the Russian Federation – ed.),” he said on the sidelines of the “Digital Finance: New Economic Reality” forum.
Chebeskov also added that the ministry does not evaluate the number of companies that would potentially like to return to Russia.
