MOSCOW, Sep 6 will head the National Center for Historical Memory, which is planned to be created in Russia, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country needs a National Center for Historical Memory, the relevant instructions will be given following the results of the meeting of the Russian of the organizing committee «Victory».
«It is not yet known exactly. But the proposal was that this center should be created precisely on the basis of the museum (Victory Museum — ed.). And it is still unknown who will be in charge», — Peskov told reporters, answering the question of who will head the center being created.
Earlier, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova spoke about the launch of a pilot project to create the National Center for Historical Memory. According to her, the center will unite several projects: the database «Faces of Victory», the exhibition «Feat of the People», the exposition of military equipment in the open air.
