BEIJING, Sep 6 It has become quite easy for Russian cinema to enter the Chinese market, and Chinese partners are actively buying Russian film production, said Yulia Bragina, Deputy General Director of Moskino.
“Now it’s quite easy to enter the Chinese market, you don’t need to look for any complicated paths and complex contacts. The same is true in Russia, now there are established connections, established contacts,” Bragina said on the sidelines of the event to present the potential of the film industry in Moscow held in Beijing.
Bragina noted that the potential of film distribution in China is huge.
“Therefore, many Russian projects have either already been released in China or are now in the process of release. Chinese partners are actively buying Russian cinema. An excellent example of this is animation, it is now doing great in China,” said Bragina.
According to her, new Russian films are also actively purchased in China. In addition, Bragina noted, Russia and China always have plans for joint cooperation in the field of cinematography and co-production.
«There are certain difficulties that need to be overcome in terms of issuing distribution certificates, but this work is underway, it is being successfully implemented, films are being released, and I hope that further mutual distribution will only increase,» she stressed.
