MOSCOW, September 7. Domestic new films will be presented at the New Season online cinema festival, which will be held at the Rosa Khutor resort in Sochi from September 7 to 12. The program includes 16 series and six full-length projects Kion, Wink, «Ivy», Okko, Start, Premier and «Kinopoisk».
“The New Season festival is an industrial truce, where competitors come to communicate and together solve common problems and issues that are important for everyone and for each platform separately,” said the director and producer of the festival, Polina Zueva.
The festival, which was first held in 2022, does not have a program director: the platforms themselves choose what to present.
““Streaming is the main stars of the festival, and we want to turn the New Season into a tool for promoting content,” Zueva explained .
Guests and participants of the festival will be able to vote for the best projects. They will name “Best Film”, “Most Anticipated Series”, “Hero of the New Season” and “Heroine of the New Season”. In the “Opening of the New Season” category, the winner will be chosen by the Board of Trustees chaired by Okko original content producer Gavriil Gordeev.

The «Best Film» award will be competed for by Yuri Moroz's «Sleepwalkers» based on real events with Victoria Isakova, Tatyana Lyutaeva's drama «Montevideo Unit» with Alexey Serebryakov, Sergei Ilyin's film about youth «Matvey Passion» with Olga Medynich, and the sequel to the series «Trigger» «Alexandra Remizova with Maxim Matveev and Irina Starshenbaum, as well as the continuation of the film almanac «Yt» by Stepan Burnashev and Dmitry Davydov — «Et», in which the authors explore human relationships through the prism of the urban environment.
Out of competition, the festival will show «Anna's Feelings» directed by Anna Melikyan with Anna Mikhalkova in the title role.

The online cinema Kion will present in Sochi the series by Konstantin Bogomolov “Kesha Must Die” with Alexandra Rebenok and Yulia Snigir and the mystical detective “Bar “One Call” with Danila Kozlovsky. Start will show the comedy “Poor Arbamovichs”, “Prestige” with Irina Rozanova and a joint with Wink, Zhora Kryzhovnikov's serial film «The Boy's Word». The program also includes another Wink project — «Crybaby» with Nika Zhukova and Agata Muceniece.

“Ivy” will bring the series “Bonanza” with Yulia Snigir and Alexey Guskov and “Lada Gold” with Pavel Priluchny, and “Kinopoisk” will bring “Cyber Village” about the future and “Cicadas” by Evgeny Stychkin. Okko's projects will be represented by the multi-part series «Obvious Incredible» with Svetlana Khodchenkova and «Black Cloud» with Philip Yankovsky, as well as Daria Moroz's directorial debut «Sex. Before and After.» Premier will perform the series “Prelest” with Oleg Menshikov, “Trepachi” with Yuri Stoyanov and Gleb Kalyuzhny, and the comedy road movie “Five Kopecks”.

In addition to the spectator program, a business program was also organized at the festival. Participants will talk about service updates, innovative solutions and new projects. They will also hold a panel on artificial intelligence, pitching literary works for film adaptations, and an “Entry Point” discussion on how content creators can break into the online platform.
