MOSCOW, September 10 Deputy head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Nikolai Bulaev spoke about the situation during the elections in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, including the destruction of the polling station at night, The enemy's goal, he said, is to intimidate employees.
““As for evacuation, in the Kherson region, Genichesk, every day a missile attack is announced several times and (the commissions) are evacuated from their main premises to another basement,” Bulaev told reporters at the CEC information center, which is operating at the site of the Rossiya Segodnya media group.
Bulaev spoke about the destruction of a polling station in the Zaporozhye region after a drone attack. “Today in the Zaporozhye region, a polling station was attacked by drones at night. It was destroyed, (this was) at 02:05 and it is clear that none of the commission members were there. It is clear that this is the goal of intimidating people so that they do not go out to work,» Bulaev said.
Elections in Russia on a single voting day in most regions will take place over three days and began on September 8, the main day will be September 10. The EDC plans to hold elections of senior officials in 21 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and additional elections of State Duma deputies for four vacant seats in single-mandate electoral districts. Elections have been scheduled in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
