MOSCOW, September 11 DDOS attacks could not have an impact on the remote electronic voting system, said Oleg Artamonov, chairman of the TEC DEG.
«Yesterday Ella Aleksandrovna (Pamfilova, head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation) announced a figure of about 30 thousand cyber attacks (committed to the DEG system). These are mainly attacks on an attempt to deny access, the so-called DDOS attacks, their goal is overload the system so that it begins to refuse to issue ballots to voters or, even worse, to accept voters’ ballots,” Artamonov said at a briefing at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

According to him, the attacks could not have any impact on the DEG system.

In the 2023 elections, DEG was used in 24 regions of the Russian Federation on the federal platform, in 18 of them for the first time, and in Moscow on its own digital platform.
