MOSCOW, September 11. The lead singer of the group «Na-Na» Vyacheslav Zherebkin could not contain his emotions on the air of the show «Secret to a Million» when presenter Lera Kudryavtseva touched upon the topic of the musician's youngest son Denis.
As it turned out, the boy has been suffering from type 1 diabetes mellitus for more than three years.
““He is small, and such a disease. It would be better for me than for him,” the artist shared. “Why does this matter to him?”
The musician’s wife Tatyana Zherebkina, who came to the studio, said that she noticed the first symptoms of the disease in her son at the age of about three years. The boy then felt lethargic and tired. However, the parents did not attach any importance to this.
Some time later, the kindergarten teacher called Tatyana and said that Denis could not join the classes due to impotence. “She said that he drank a liter bottle of water and couldn’t get up,” Zherebkina recalled.
The child was urgently taken to the Morozov hospital, where the boy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
According to the couple, their lives changed a lot after doctors diagnosed their son. At first, they practically did not sleep, since they measured their sugar every hour.
Now, as Zherebkin admitted, he and his wife continue to regularly monitor their son’s blood sugar levels, including at night. And we got used to this rhythm over several years.
