MOSCOW, September 7 Deputy Minister of Culture of Italy, famous art critic Vittorio Zgarbi visited the exhibition about the composer Sergei Rachmaninoff “I am Russian composer”, organized in the Sicilian Erice with the support of the Russian House in Rome, the Ministry of Culture reported.
"The Deputy Minister of Culture of Italy visited an exhibition about the composer Sergei Rachmaninoff in Sicily. Project "Sergei Rachmaninov: "I am a Russian composer" became part of the program for the 150th anniversary of the composer, which took place in the Sicilian city of Erice with the support of the Russian House in Rome,” reports the official telegram channel of the department.
The department emphasized that Zgarbi “noted the importance and relevance of the work of great Russian cultural figures.” The mayor of Erice, Daniela Toscano, was also a guest of honor at the exhibition.
It is specified that the exhibition is located within the walls of the Wigner Institute – San Francesco. Residents and guests of the city can visit it until the end of September, and then the project will go to Palermo, to the site of one of the largest theaters in Europe – Teatro Massimo.
