A resident of Kazan, who writes a blog about Islam, was sentenced to three years in prison because of posts about the war in Ukraine

The Novo-Savinovsky District Court of Kazan sentenced blogger Parvinakhan Abuzarova to three years in a general regime colony in the case of calls for activities directed against the security of Russia (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by OVD-Info.

According to the case file, the verdict was handed down yesterday, September 11. The blogger’s publications became the reason for criminal prosecution. According to investigators, she published calls on social networks for the desertion of Russian soldiers participating in the war in Ukraine.

On February 14 of this year, Abuzarova’s home was searched. “It wasn’t even 7 am when almost 10 people (of the opposite sex from the FSB) burst into my apartment under the pretext that I was drowning my neighbors,” the girl wrote. After that, she was given a decision to initiate a case. As a result, the blogger was released on her own recognizance.

In March, Abuzarova was sent under house arrest. The FSB claims that she violated the preventive measure: she did not appear for questioning by the investigator and disappeared.

The girl writes a blog about Islam. She posts her photographs on social networks, accompanying them with quotes about religion and stories about the life of Muslims.
