Seoul hopes that relations between Russia and the DPRK will contribute to peace, media write

SEOUL, September 12 Foreign Minister of South Korea Pak Chin expressed hope that relations between Russia and the DPRK will develop in such a way as to contribute to “peace and stability”, and with the implementation of all UN Security Council resolutions, Yonhap news agency reported.
As previously reported by the DPRK media, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, will visit the Russian Federation and hold a meeting with the head of the Russian Federation.

“The government is now considering possible retaliatory measures,” Pak Chin said in response to a reporter’s question regarding the possibility of Russia and North Korea discussing arms deals during Kim Jong-un’s visit to the Russian Federation.

Pak Chin also reiterated South Korea's position that member countries of the UN Security Council must adhere to the implementation of all UN Security Council resolutions.
“I hope that relations between Russia and North Korea will also develop with the implementation of all resolutions in a direction that contributes to peace and stability,” the minister said.
