NIZHNY NOVGOROD, September 12 A case of vandalism was opened against a man who opened fire with an air pistol in the center of the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, the press service reports regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Late in the evening of September 10, the police received a report that an unknown person had opened fire at bus stops located on Comintern Street. At that moment there were no people at public transport stops, no one sought medical help.
Employees of the police patrol service, without delay, detained a 36-year-old resident of the Kstovsky district and took him to the police department. An air pistol was seized from the man, presumably from which he fired in a public place.
«A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism),» the message says.
