The security forces reported on the detention of a resident of the Lipetsk region in a case of high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). Vesti Lipetsk reported this with reference to the FSB press service.
According to investigators, the man transferred money from his bank account to the cryptocurrency wallet of an “identified citizen of Ukraine.” The FSB claims that Lipchan’s donations were used to purchase weapons for the Ukrainian army, as well as “nationalist battalions, far-right and extremist organizations that are fighting against the Russian Federation.”
A week ago, security forces reported the detention of a Khabarovsk resident, also suspected of treason for donations to the Ukrainian army. A similar criminal case was opened in July against a resident of the Perm region, and in June – against a resident of the Amur region.
