The Ghent plant is the largest production site for Volvo trucks with an annual capacity of about 45,000 vehicles, the statement said. At the same time, the company will produce three different models — Volvo FH, Volvo FM and Volvo FMXElectric.
The Ghent plant will be Volvo's third electric truck production plant in Europe. The company also has one factory for production of electric trucks in the USA.
