MOSCOW, September 14 .Actor and director Igor Kechaev died at the age of 62, the Stanislavsky Electrotheater reported.
«After a serious and long illness, actor and director Igor Viktorovich Kechaev died yesterday… Farewell will take place tomorrow, September 15, at 10:20 in the morgue of the Sklifosovsky Institute,» says the official website of the theater.
It is noted that Kechaev was a close friend of the Electrotheater and its artistic director Boris Yukhananov, his classmate at GITIS and a colleague, assistant on theater and television projects, worked as an assistant director on the opera «Octavia. Trepanation».
«Igor will remain in our memory as a remarkably talented actor, a man of the brightest soul and a true romantic with a rare gift of empathy,» the theater concluded.
Igor Kechaev was born on February 3, 1961 in Moscow. He worked on the projects “Trace”, “Alien Life”, “Ferry for Two” and others. Kechaev also played in the films “Someone Else’s Child”, “Paper Soldier”, “My Name is Harlequin” and others.
