YAKUTSK, September 18 A criminal case about unsafe services was opened in Yakutsk, where a billboard fell on a woman in the port due to the wind, the victim – in intensive care, reports the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
As noted by the department, a resident of Yakutsk was in the river port on September 16, when a billboard with a banner fell on her due to a strong gust of wind. As a result, a woman born in 1965 was admitted to intensive care with severe injuries.
“The Yakut transport investigation department of the Eastern MSUT of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Investigators and forensic investigators of the Investigation Department have inspected the scene of the incident and are conducting a complex of investigations actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident,” the press service informs.
At the weekend, heavy winds left most of Yakutsk without power, the press service of the Central Electric Networks reported the day before.
