MOSCOW, September 19. Soviet and Russian actress Lyubov Maykova has died, GITIS reports.
“Lyubov Maykova died on September 18,” the message says.
GITIS expressed condolences to the family and friends of the actress.
Maikova graduated from GITIS in 1980. From 1986 to 1989 she worked at the Small Drama Troupe Theater and was one of its founders. In 1980, she made her film debut, playing the role of a laboratory assistant in the film “You Never Even Dreamed of…”. She also starred in the films “Beauty Salon”, “Where is Nophelet?”, “Forgotten Melody for Flute”.
In the 1980s, the actress moved to the USA and lived in Seattle.
