The Ukrainian hacker community KibOrg said in its Telegram channel that a group friendly to it called Muppets hacked the database of a Russian company «Sirena-Travel», where information about airline passengers is stored. Navalny’s team investigator Georgy Alburov and the publication “Important Stories” drew attention to this.
In total, the group, as stated in the message, gained access to two databases containing 3.4 billion and 664.5 million records, respectively. In addition to the personal data of passengers, they contain their flight numbers, airline names, information about fares, routes, bookings and ticket prices from 2007 to 2023.
“Now it has become even easier to search for information about Russians, including those who liked to fly for the Navalny family in order to poison them,” says the KibOrg telegram channel.
At the same time, only part of the data containing 3 million records. “Important Stories” found in it information about the flights of former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, who moved to Russia this summer. The data on her movements coincided with public messages from Kneissl herself about her trip to the economic forum in Vladivostok from St. Petersburg on September 10, 2023.
Alburov checked the data on the trip of Putin’s alleged mistress and the head of the National Media Group Alina Kabaeva from Minsk to Moscow two weeks ago — they also got together.
The source of “Important Stories” at KibOrg said that the community is not going to make the entire database publicly available. The plans are to either create a paid bot or transfer the information to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The publication's interlocutors emphasized that they would be able to share information with investigative journalists.
Nothing was previously known about the Muppets group, which KibOrg mentioned in his publication.
