MOSCOW, September 23. The United States is no longer supplying Patriot systems to Ukraine after the battery was destroyed by a Russian Kinzhal missile strike in May, ex-CIA analyst Larry Johnson said in an interview with journalist Stephen Gardner.
“We haven't heard any news about this installation yet for several months. It was sent to Ukraine, it was blown up. It looks like it was either destroyed or is being repaired, but definitely not used on the battlefield,» the expert noted.
According to him, after this incident, the U.S. stopped supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Patriot anti-aircraft systems, and only transfer less significant military equipment, equipment and machinery to Kiev.
In May, the Russian army hit a Patriot air defense system in Ukraine with a hypersonic Kinzhal missile. The American air defense system failed to intercept it. As Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov noted, today only domestic anti-aircraft guns are capable of destroying missiles of this type.
