The detained suspect in the murder of a married couple from Yalta admitted, that he killed them because they spoke badly about Russia and the country’s leadership, writes Baza.
A man named Shavkat, according to the channel, said that 66-year-old Vladimir and 58-year-old Victoria came from Dnepropetrovsk region and constantly expressed that “in fact, Crimea belongs to Ukraine.” At some point, the suspect allegedly could not stand it and decided to kill them.
After the murder, Shavkat, as noted, left Yalta for the village of Vesele near Sudak to wait out some time. But the police found him and detained him. A criminal case has been opened under the article “Murder.”
Meanwhile, as MK has learned, the suspect is a 50-year-old citizen of Ukraine who entered Crimea in 2018 and was previously convicted of fraud (in 2020) . According to the preliminary version, the man was employed by the murdered spouses. CCTV cameras recorded the moment of the murder: a wooden baluster became the crime weapon.
