Rapper Oksimiron was fined for failure to provide a report on the activities of a “foreign agent”

The Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined rapper Oksimiron (Miron Fedorov) 40 thousand rubles under the law on “foreign agents.” This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.

The perpetrator was found guilty under the article on failure to submit a report on the activities of a “foreign agent” to the Ministry of Justice (Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code). As clarified in court, the rapper needed to do this before January 15, 2023.

Oksimiron left Russia after the start of the war in Ukraine and gave three Russians against war concerts, the profits from which he transferred to a fund to help Ukrainian refugees. In October 2022, the Ministry of Justice added the rapper to the register of “foreign agents,” and the courts banned the distribution of two of his songs, “Last Call” and “Oida.” Because of the last song, where there were the words “Ingria will be free», he was fined under the article on calls for » violation of the territorial integrity of Russia» (Article 20.3.2 of the Administrative Code).

In December last year, the performer was fined under the article on “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code) because of a video in which he speaks out against the war in Ukraine. And two months ago he was fined due to the lack of a “foreign agent” label in his New Year’s address.
