KRASNODAR, October 5 The court sentenced 13 years in a general regime colony to a resident of Kuban who got behind the wheel of a motorcycle drunk and killed a five-year-old girl and her father, they reported at the regional prosecutor's office.
On the tenth of July in the city of Temryuk, a 36-year-old local resident driving a Honda motorcycle did not stop in front of an unregulated pedestrian crossing and hit four people. The five-year-old girl and her father died in hospital. His nine-year-old daughter, an adult woman, and the reckless driver himself were taken to the hospital. The man was riding a motorcycle without a license. He has previous convictions for theft, property damage and drug trafficking.
«He was found guilty (under) points «a, c» of Part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person in a state of intoxication, resulting in the death of two victims through negligence). The court… found the defendant guilty and appointed he is sentenced to 13 years in prison,” the statement says.
It is noted that he will serve his sentence in a general regime correctional colony, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for a period of 3 years. The court awarded moral damages in the amount of six million rubles to the victims. The verdict has not entered into legal force.
