SOCHI, October 5 Russian President Vladimir Putin said that economic growth in the Russian Federation at the end of the year will be 2.8-3%, this is a very good result for the country.
«This year, economic growth in Russia is 2.8%, and maybe 3%. For our economy, for the economic structure that Russia has, this is a good result. We have completely overcome the decline of last year and are gaining pace,» Putin said at a plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
He also noted economic growth in China and India, emphasizing that the countries of the Global South are gaining leadership.
«In China growth, as far as I know, will be 6.4%. This is a very good indicator. No matter who says anything about the slowdown in the Russian-Chinese economy, it is all chatter and idle talk, because China ensures these high rates and is one of the leading engines of the world economy. The same thing is happening in India. There the growth is even greater — 7.6%. Therefore, the countries of the global south are recruiting on the contrary. And our task is to ensure this leadership,” concluded the head of the Russian Federation.
