MOSCOW, October 7 A drone heading towards Moscow was shot down in the Istra urban district, reported the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin on the Telegram channel.

"Air defense forces in the Istra urban district repelled an attack by a drone flying towards Moscow. “At the site of the fall of the debris, according to preliminary data, there is no destruction or casualties,” the publication says.
Emergency services are working at the site, Sobyanin added.
The Ministry of Defense clarified that this happened at 5:05 am.
Ukrainian troops regularly attack Russian regions using drones. The main impact falls on the border territories: Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as Crimea and Central Russia.
