MOSCOW, October 7 Gazprom supplies gas through Ukraine in a volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the Sudzha gas measuring station (GIS) 40.3 million cubic meters as of October 7, the application for the Sokhranovka GIS was rejected, said the official representative of the Russian company Sergei Kupriyanov.
Gazprom supplies Russian gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the Sudzha GIS, 40.3 million cubic meters as of October 7. The application for the Sokhranovka GIS was rejected,” he told reporters.
In May 2022, Ukraine stopped reception for gas transit through the Sokhranovka GIS, citing the fact that it is under the control of Russian forces (on the territory of the LPR). As a result, only one entrance remained for gas transit to Europe — the Sudzha GIS. Gazprom stated that transferring all volumes to Sudzha is technologically impossible.
At the same time, the transit agreement between Gazprom and Ukraine assumes that the guaranteed daily pumping volume (on both sides) from 2021 is 109.6 million cubic meters.
