On the day of Putin’s arrival in Bishkek for the CIS summit, riding electric scooters will be banned in the city

The authorities of Kyrgyzstan expect that Vladimir Putin will arrive on a state visit to the country on October 12 — the city hall will introduce restrictions on the use of rental electric scooters on this day. This was reported on the Bishkek City Hall website.

“Thus, restrictions will be introduced along the route of delegations for one day on October 12 from the morning until 00:00 at night, and it was also decided to distribute the message among users of this type of transport,” the publication says.< /p>

The head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration of Kyrgyzstan, Muratbek Azymbakiev, said that the CIS summit, chaired by the country’s leader Sadyr Japarov, will be held on October 13. On the same day, he announced Japarov’s meeting with Putin on October 12.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Lukashenko are also planning to attend the CIS summit. Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov assumed that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan would take part in the event via video link.

Often, before Putin’s visits, local authorities introduce bans or introduce changes in the lives of locals. This year, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad, a bust of Stalin was unveiled in the city. Previously, the “Volgograd” signs at the entrance to the city were replaced with “Stalingrad.”

On the eve of the president’s visit, the city also limited traffic for all types of transport in the center and closed Mamaev Kurgan to visitors. Mobile operators turned off the Internet in the central regions of Volgograd.

Before Putin’s visit, workers at the aircraft plant in Ulan-Ude were prohibited from leaving their buildings and were deprived of a lunch break. In addition, a queue formed at the enterprise due to additional searches and document checks.

In mid-March, the International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Putin. According to the court, he and Children's Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova are responsible for the deportation of children from Ukrainian territories occupied during the war to Russia.

After this, the number of the president's visits abroad decreased, and some organizations began to call the authorities of their countries to arrest Putin if he arrives. For example, in South Africa they posted a billboard on which they ask to arrest Putin if he comes to BRICS.
