A family from Tyumen, who were going to take their 4-year-old son with a disability to a Moscow hospital, was not put on the Pobeda flight if they had tickets, giving preference to participants in the war in Ukraine. The child's father, Mikhail Loginov, told 72.RU about this.
According to the man, the flight was scheduled for 6:55, they arrived at the airport 55 minutes before departure, and 42 minutes before they arrived at the counter check-in for the flight. The rules mean that check-in closes 40 minutes before departure, but the airport employee said that she closed it 15 minutes ago.
After a conflict with her and other airport employees, check-in was continued. At this point, there were four seats left on board the plane that was supposed to fly to Moscow. There weren’t enough for everyone, since, in addition to the Loginov family of three, there were two girls waiting at the counter to check in.
“We are flying to SVO. If we are late for our flight, we will be given the status of deserters,” Loginov recounted the girls’ words. They were eventually put on the flight. When the Tyumen residents managed to get through to Pobeda, whose plane they were not allowed on, airline employees explained that the Loginovs were listed in the system as passengers who did not show up for the flight.
After 72.RU published the story of the Tyumen residents, the local transport prosecutor's office reported that it would evaluate the actions of the carrier. “The Tyumen Transport Prosecutor’s Office organized supervisory measures regarding the refusal of Pobeda Airlines to in the transportation of passengers with a child,” the department clarified.
