The girl killed by Hamas militants was recognized as a German tattoo artist: “A nightmare for our family”

“I clearly saw our daughter unconscious in a car with Palestinians.”

A 30-year-old German tattoo artist was killed by Hamas while attending a music festival in Israel before militants paraded her body in the back of a truck and stated that she was an Israeli soldier. This is reported by the British tabloid.

Combat in Israel

The woman whose lifeless and half-naked body was paraded in the back of a Hamas pickup truck while militants straddled and abused her after their violent invasion of Israel has been identified by the past at night like a German tattoo artist, writes the Daily Mail.

According to the British publication, 30-year-old Shani Luk was at a music festival for peace when she was captured by terrorists who carried out a surprise attack on Israel that killed at least 480 people and injured 3,200.

Her the body was filmed sprawled in the back of a truck, with one leg at an unnatural angle, as gunmen sat around it while supporters of the radical Islamist group cheered, ran alongside and spat on it.

It comes after Shani's mother, Ricarda, posted a heartbreaking video begging for help to find out what happened to her daughter.

Holding a photo of Shani on her mobile phone, she said: “This morning, my daughter, Shani Nicole Luk, a German national, was kidnapped by Palestinian Hamas along with a group of tourists in southern Israel. We were sent a video in which I clearly saw our daughter without consciousness in a car with Palestinians, and they were driving around the Gaza Strip. I ask you to send us any help or any news. Thank you very much.»

Hamas claimed that the body belonged to a female Israeli soldier, but last night her cousin Thomasina Weintraub-Luck confirmed it was Shani, telling MailOnline the family recognized her distinctive leg tattoos and dreadlocked hair.

“We didn't hear anything. We hope for positive news. It's definitely Shani. She was at a music festival for peace. This is a nightmare for our family,” says Thomasina.

The tragedy comes after Palestinian militants launched their biggest offensive in 50 years on Saturday, carrying out unprecedented land, sea and air attacks — even using paragliders to avoid detection.

In a coordinated, multi-pronged attack, Palestinian radicals entered Israel from the Gaza Strip, seizing settlements and capturing and killing civilians celebrating a Jewish holiday.

There are fears that dozens of people were snatched from the street and returned to Gaza, or simply killed on the spot.

The music festival Shani attended was one of the first sites to be attacked by militants, and, Dozens of people were reportedly killed on the spot and many more were taken hostage by Hamas.

One video widely circulated on social media showed a woman on a motorcycle being taken away by an armed man as she screamed «Don't kill me!» The Mail on Sunday has identified the woman as 25-year-old Noah Argamani, a student who was captured at the same open-air peace festival she attended with her boyfriend near the border.

Esther Borochov, escaped from a rave, said she survived by playing dead in a car after the driver who tried to help her escape was shot at point-blank range.

The bodies of Israeli civilians were scattered along the streets of Sderot in southern Israel, near Gaza, surrounded by broken glass. The corpses of a woman and a man were stretched out in the front seats of the car.

Terrified Israelis, barricaded in safe rooms, spoke of their plight live on the phone.

Other footage showed as captured Israeli soldiers and civilians — some of them killed — are paraded through the streets of Gaza.

Heralding the start of what Hamas called «the greatest battle to end the last occupation on Earth,» the Gaza Strip's ruling group earlier invaded Israel in a convoy of trucks, cars and motorcycles after an advance force bulldozed a heavily fortified border previously considered impenetrable.

Israeli government sources acknowledged that some of their soldiers were taken hostage, but said their identities could not be determined until their families were informed.

< Grim video footage showed one male Israeli soldier being taken into Gaza and paraded through the streets as passersby attacked him. There were also reports that a senior IDF commander had been taken hostage, but the Israeli government has not yet confirmed this.

Speaking Saturday evening, Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a dire warning to the militants: “I say to Hamas, You are responsible for the welfare of the prisoners, Israel will settle scores with anyone who harms them.»
