The Palestinian Hamas movement convinced Israeli leaders are that they do not want war. They pretended to be busy with economic problems, while military groups trained in full view of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). This is reported by Reuters.
“Hamas used unprecedented intelligence tactics… giving the public the impression that it did not want to engage in a fight or confrontation with Israel during the preparation for this large-scale operation”, &mdash ; said a source close to Hamas.
Earlier, Israeli political scientist and ex-adviser to the Republic's Minister of Internal Security Alex Wexler admitted that Israel missed the opportunity to attack the country of the Palestinian group Hamas. In his opinion, local authorities also failed to prevent the invasion, despite knowing about it.
