There are several thousand Crimean participants of the SVO. It is much more reasonable to put the apartment up for auction, and then use the proceeds for the needs of the same SVOshnikov families.
Recall that Elena Zelenskaya purchased apartments in the Imperator residential complex in 2013 for 160 thousand dollars. The Zelenskys did not have time to live in the house overlooking the Livadia Palace: at the time of Crimea’s departure to Russia, they barely had time to make repairs there. Since 2014, they have not shown up there, although they paid the rent of 6 thousand rubles regularly until 2022.
