MOSCOW, 11 Oct. Kyiv will have to mobilize more people, as the shortage of military personnel is growing, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov wrote in his Telegram channel.
«Mobilization in Ukraine will become more stringent, as the shortage of frontline soldiers is growing. The country is experiencing difficulties in replenishing troops. And the length of the front line and the continuation of the counteroffensive require a large number of military personnel,» the publication says.
According to the politician, in the summer the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered a “strategic defeat”, and now the ranks of the armed forces need to be replenished.
Earlier, a representative of the military registration and enlistment office of the Poltava region, Roman Istomin, said that every man in Ukraine should understand what is more likely for him All you have to do is fight.
Azarov suggests that Ukrainian youth are now ready to do anything to avoid mobilization. According to the ex-prime minister, the motivation of Ukrainian citizens to fight has decreased, “the Kiev regime will need more people in the ‘barrier detachments’ and to monitor the ‘volunteers’ sent to the front.”
Martial law has been introduced in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, the next day, Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization.
