TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov reacted to criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin, voiced against the backdrop of the Hamas attack on Israel. Ksenia Sobchak’s channel “Bloody Lady” drew attention to the statements. The publication says that Soloviev “attacked the chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities, Borukh Gorin, who was surprised that Putin did not express condolences to the people of Israel.”
“And you condemned those 2,000 Israeli instructors who fought on the side of Bandera’s supporters ?» — said Solovyov.
He called on Gorin to pay attention to “how their (“Ukrainian nationalists” — MK) ideology triumphed in your homeland.” Solovyov also wondered whether Israel condemns “those several thousand instructors who went to kill Russians.”
The channel, among other things, recalled that Solovyov is Jewish by nationality. He himself previously also repeatedly pointed this out. In particular, in 2021, Solovyov said that he embodies “everything that (Alexey) Navalny hates at the genetic level — I am a Jew and I am an anti-fascist.” On the air of his original program on the evening of October 8, a day and a half after the attack by Hamas militants in Israel, Soloviev said that he was “a Jew, but not an Israeli.”
