WASHINGTON, Oct 16 Prospects for normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel is “not dead” in light of the worsening Palestinian-Israeli conflict, but this process will take time, US President Joe Biden said during an interview with CBS on Sunday.
“Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other countries understand that their security and stability will be strengthened if relations with Israel are normalized,” the head of state said.
He expressed confidence that, despite the current tensions provoked by attacks by the Palestinian Hamas movement, an agreement between the kingdom and the Jewish state to normalize relations will eventually be implemented.
“Look, this will take time. However, the vector of normalization makes sense for both Arab countries and Israel,” Biden emphasized.
