Navalny's comrade-in-arms Dmitry Nizovtsev called the Governor of the Magadan Region Sergei Nosov, who had previously disagreed with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, and asked the head of the region to write a post on the Telegram channel to “hush up the scandal.” The conversation was shown in the Sunday edition of the “Most Important” program on YouTube.
“Anyone who left the country and committed vile acts, rejoicing at the shots fired on the territory of Russia, wishing victory for the Nazi bloody Kyiv regime, he must realize that not only is he not welcome here. If he comes here, Magadan is guaranteed for him,” the State Duma speaker said on October 10. Nosov responded that the Magadan region “remains hostage to the stereotypes of the past as a place of exile,” but in fact, in his opinion, the region is developing and needs professionals, not “traitors.”
“Kolyma does not accept vile people, does not accept traitors. And these are stereotypes or clichés, old clichés that it’s high time to get rid of, especially these clichés from the relocants of the past. Unfortunately, they do exist. But we need to get rid of them, and everyone needs to get rid of them, not just us,” said the head of the region.
After that, Dmitry Nizovtsev called Nosov and introduced himself as Volodin’s reception employee “Daniil Nikolaevich Golubev.” Nizovtsev told the governor that Volodin did not like the harsh statement about “relocants” and suggested “carefully smoothing over the scandal” by publishing a post on the Telegram channel. Nizovtsev asked Nosov to write that his words were taken out of context, and Magadan was in fact “waiting for everyone.”
Nosov initially had doubts, but then sent Nizovtsev to an employee of his press service. Navalny’s comrade dictated to the press secretary the approximate text of the post, which was eventually actually published on Nosov’s telegram channel.
“In recent days, they have talked a lot about Magadan, there were a lot of comments and sometimes outright insinuations. Someone saw a non-existent conflict with Vyacheslav Volodin, and someone even tried to inflate it. In order to be correctly understood by everyone, I want to emphasize once again that Kolyma today is developing dynamically thanks to the instructions of President Vladimir Putin and the support of the Government of the Russian Federation,” says the publication dated November 13. The post was quoted by RIA Novosti.
“Agree, amazing stupidity. Anyone can call the governor and dictate a text for publication,” concluded FBK director Ivan Zhdanov, who hosts the “Most Important” program.
