MOSCOW, October 16. The singer Svetlana Loboda was sued by the author of the song “To hell with love,” Oleg Vladi, demanding copyright protection, according to the website of the Istra Court of the Moscow Region.
According to media reports, the claim has been accepted for consideration, a preliminary hearing was held today, and the first hearing in the case is scheduled for December 7.
Previously, the poet and composer allowed the celebrity to perform his work. However, after the artist publicly condemned the SVO and left Russia, Vladi forbade her to do this.
From the case materials it is clear that Vladi has claims not only against the singer, but also against her company Loboda Music LLC. According to the composer, when drawing up an agreement on the transfer of copyright and related rights, his rights were infringed.
As explained by Valeria Rytvina, Vladi’s lawyer, her client will demand recognition of the contract as not concluded, and exclusive property rights not transferred to Loboda Music LLC.
After the start of the special operation, Loboda flew from Russia abroad . She sent humanitarian aid to her homeland, but performed in Europe and the USA, and lived in Latvia.
In April last year, she was banned from entering Russia for 50 years.
