MOSCOW, October 16 The Ministry of Internal Affairs has put lawyer Mark Feigin* on the wanted list, as follows from the department's database.
«Mark Feigin* <. ..> Grounds for search: wanted under an article of the Criminal Code,” says the card published on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the source, Feigin was put on the wanted list under an article for public dissemination of knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces (207.3 UK).
In addition, the agency’s interlocutor noted that Feigin participated in the activities of the “Congress of People’s Deputies” (a Polish NGO, included in the register of undesirable organizations in Russia). In addition, in May of this year he traveled to the line of combat contact on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and also regularly covered the activities of the terrorist organization Legion «Russian Freedom» (also banned in Russia).
Mark Feigin received the status of a lawyer in the 90s, but began practicing in the 2000s. He participated as a defense attorney in the cases of Pussy Riot, nationalist Ilya Goryachev, Ukrainian Nadezhda Savchenko, etc. In 2018, the Moscow Bar Chamber, after a complaint from his colleague Stalina Gurevich, stripped him of his status for obscene statements on social networks addressed to other lawyers and their clients.
