MOSCOW, 17 Oct. American performer Madonna faces a fine of £300,000 for completing a show in London after the permitted time. In the capital of the kingdom, the singer performs as part of The Celebration Tour, reports the Daily Mail.
Sunday's show at London's O2 Arena was interrupted for technical reasons at 23:00, although it was supposed to last 140 minutes. Fans were left without final hits Like A Virgin, Holiday, Celebration and more.
London's curfew requires events to end no later than 11pm on Saturday and no later than 10.30pm on Sunday. Such rules exist for the convenience of the public, who must catch public transport at the end of the performances.
The Madonna show website states that entry into the hall begins at 18:30, and the performance itself starts at 21:00. however, the singer did not go on stage on time, which is why fans risked missing the last subway home.
The curfew was violated for half an hour, and the fine included 10 thousand pounds for every minute overdue.
Madonna previously responded to the conflict in Israel by supporting the Israelis.
